Teeth Whitening Legal?
The Teeth Whitening Studio has been safely whitening teeth for almost 3 years. We get asked all the time how are we able to whiten teeth for only $99 because the dentists treatments used to and some still do charge $600 for the same one hour whitening treatment. Main reason our overhead is not the same nor do we require certain living standards. We don’t have all the dentist equipment that is needed for different problems such as cavities and root canals or student loans to pay off. Some may not be able to trust us because of our price point and wonder how we can do it legally.
If you look under the ADA defintion of teeth whitening it used to be considered a cosmetic treatment. Most States still go by that definition but some States are changing. Why are they changing the rules long after Crest White Strips have been sold to the public at least 10 years? I feel it is because my type of business is cutting into the dental profits. The dentists are not making as much money as they used to. It is so astonishing how much profit they actually make off of teeth whitening.
I often catch myself wondering why are the States not banning tanning beds for the damage and the change of skin color (we change the color of teeth). Just 1 tanning session can increase cancer rate of the skin by 75%! Then I did my research and found out why the dermatologist and plastic surgeons are not having lobbyist lobbying against the tanning industry. It is because their profits would hit an all time low because 80% of skin damage is caused by the sun or tanning beds. Got me thinking about another industry that has been around before all of us was born. The tobacco industry! Finally after almost 20 years a new legislation is going into effect for the use of chemicals in cigarettes. Wow! Can’t believe the gov’t will listen to lobbyist with lots and lots of money but wait that has been happening since the dawn of time so I am not shocked. We can say we have whiten about 3,000 people and we do it with the utmost care and sanitation. The Teeth Whitening Studio gets excellent results and for now is legal in the State of Missouri. You can even tattoo the inside of the mouth or pierce the tongue which both causes bleeding and many times infection but you don’t see any industry going after the tattoo artist!
On May 4th 2010 I had a little visitor from the Dental Board, I wonder why that is? Guess they didn’t like my post! Sent them to my lawyers office. Lawyer smart and knows they are just trying to scare me and the public.
